Line engraving depicting royal yachts performing a salute to welcome the embarkation of Princess Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz at Stade. In 1761, six Royal yachts were dispatched to transport the future Queen Charlotte to England for her marriage to George III. In the print, men "man the yards" of the yachts and the 'Royal Charlotte' (previously the 'Royal Caroline' but renamed for this occasion) is magnificently dressed with flags.
