Colored engraving of the Ca'ing Whale or the (Delphinus) Deductor beached ashore with whales being hunted in the distance. The name "ca'ing" is applied from the driving or herding process used in its capture, and is the same word as "kaing," which is applied in Shetland to driving the sheep into the cra for rovin or marking. The Deductor name is given from the habit of the herd to follow the old bull as sheep do a bell wether.
