Black and white woodcut illustrating a large ship pushed up onto an outcropping of ice. The ship flies flags with five stripes, the middle stripe containing three white "x"s. In the background, six men pull a canoe over the ice, another man rolls a barrel over the ice, and a party of men with lances travel across the ice in a line. Marked "Plaat 10" (plate 10) and "Blz. 68". Page from a book; however, it was likely never bound.
On verso is printed a description of the events on the ship on ice, from de Veer's travels.
