A starboard-side view of the clipper ship 'Architect' built for the China trade. Other than that she made some rapid passages to China, little is known of her. She was a Baltimore Clipper, which was a type of vessel that was essentially an enlarged schooner hull with V-shaped cross-sections below the waterline and strongly raked sterns, stern posts, and masts.
