Photograph of a Norse galley mounted on some sort of display stand. Shields are mounted on the right side and only two on the left; masts are absent. This is possibly a portrait of the Gokstad ship or the Oseberg ship, both of which were unearthed by archeologists in Norway during the late nineteenth century.
