Page fragment from 1541 edition of a treatise on laws governing navitation with woodcut engravings of ancient Greek and Roman vessels, original binding residues in soft parchment with laces, handwritten titles on the back and repeated in sepia ink in the front plate, p 146. Fine large format drop caps stained. Latin text with numerous passages in Greek.

Annotations to the Law II concerning the return of captives and the right to return home, which is dealt with in On naval matters/affairs, were recognized/recollected by the historian/author. The same man's Annotations to the treatment of bequeathed/entrusted gold and silver, in which types of clothes and vessels/vases are explained.To all of these we have added images selected from the most ancient monuments to make evident the proof. Likewise Antonius Thylesius' (Antonio Telesio's) Booklet on Colors, (which) is not unconnected to the colors of clothes.
