Lithograph of the Battle of Lowestoft of 13 June 1665, the naval combat between the English under the Duke of York and the Dutch under Admiral Jacob Baron van Wassenaer Obdam June 13, 1665. To the right is the explosion of the 'Eendracht' (or the 'Concord'), the flagship of Wassenaer Obdam. Admiral Obdam was killed in the explosion. Dutch losses were severe. Plate 23 of P.J.
