A colored lithograph of the port side of the first iron ship built in Liverpool. She is moored in a port with half of her sails furled and the other half let loose. She flies a British flag above the stern and men stand on deck. In the background is a coast with buildings and smokestacks. Built for the Pernambuco trade, she was bark-rigged and in 1839 was the only iron-sailing vessel in England.
