CC-N-0301-10.T.jpg

Side view ship portrait depicting the ship "Hastings" lying in ordinary--that is, with her upper masts and rigging removed, and her deck covered, waiting for an order to be put back into commission. She still flies the Union Jack. A small boat is seen departing from her; this perhaps belongs to one of the men whose work it was to make sure a ship lying in ordinary was not burgled or vandalized. There are many other vessels in the background. Title and production information printed in lower margin.
