A view of the stern and starboard-side of the HMY 'Royal Sovereign' that is getting ready to leave the harbor. Men row up to the broadsides to embark and load cargo. The vessel performs a salute to pay respect to an important official, perhaps Robert Walpole to whom this print is dedicated. Framing the scene are two sea nymphs that sit at the bottom of shell-covered rocks. The platform they rest on become plinths that list the dimensions of the yacht. Between them, Poseidon raises his trident on a sea horse.
