A tinted lithograph of a quarter head and port-broadside view of the East Indiaman, 'Alfred.' Launched in 1845, she was built by Green��s for the London to Calcutta run. All of her sails are full and set except the main course and mizzen course. She has a row of gun ports on her broadside. In the distance, there is a coast on the left side of the print and various other sailing vessels.
