Below, and facing right, an elongated whale with several rounded protrusions on its back, snout, and underside, a fin with finger-like appendages, and gill-like lines under its eye. Labeled "2". Under the image in small typeface is the engraver's name, and in large type, "1. The Round-headed Cachalot. 2. The Blunt-headed Cachalot, or Spermaceti Whale." Under this, in small type, "Engraved for the Encyclopaedia Londinensis, 1824."
