AF-LB-1137.T.jpg

Mounted, matted, uncolored engraving depicting Perseus about to slay the sea-monster, with Andromeda chained to a rock in the right-hand foreground. Perseus descends, brandishing a sword in one hand and Medusa's head in the other, from the top right, towards the monster, which is depicted with the iconography often used for whales, at middle left. The monster is spouting. In the lower margin, at right, is printed "W. H. Fecit"; this is half rubbed away.
