Etching done in a manner so as to imitate an ink wash drawing, in brown ink, depicting a pastoral landscape with Romanesque ruins, as well as a medieval-style castle in the far left background, and centered around an inlet coming in from the sea. There is a lone figure and a small rowboat in the foreground; in the distance are three grazing cows, and a whale.
