A colored lithograph of a portrait of the French steamer, 'Lyonnais,' the first French steamer to cross the Atlantic. She took round trip passages from America to France. Parts of the steamer are labeled with letters and numbers that correspond to a legend below. The steamer is situated in a busy waterway off a harbor. Various auxiliary vessels, dinghies, and rowboats surround the 'Lyonnais.'
