Whaling scene with Japanese-flagged vessel represented in three joined printed panels. Within a large cartouche are written the value and use of a whale - meat for food, etc. The small, red rectangular panels scattered throughout the scene contain short descriptions of the scene, such as "attacking a whale in unison." The print depicts an attempt to adopt American whaling methods.
