Starboard-side view of the first iron yacht ever built, 'Mystery,' winning the 4 June 1842 Royal Thames Yacht Club race. The match distance was from buoys moored off then Greenwich Hospital, down to Coal House Point, below Gravesend, and back again. She was owned by Lord Alfred Paget.

Other yachts are in the left and right background. In the right middleground is a buoy with the flag of the yacht club and an auxiliary paddle steamship filled with passengers viewing the race.
