Monochrome engraving of the whale spitting a robed, bearded Jonah up onto a patch of land on which grows a palm tree and upon which are scattered shells. In the background is a bay with a single-sailed boat (with oars) and a costal city with Roman-styled architecture. The tail of the whale is coiled and scaly, while its head, particularly the nose, resembles that of a dog. Its eyes are of the same size as Jonah's head. Above the image, as part of the border, is printed " (46) A.T.". Below, also as part of the border, is printed "De Jonas le Proph̩te. Von dem Prophet Jonas." [Eng: Of the Prophet, Jonah.]
