CC-P-0233D.T.jpg

Photograph taken atop the cabin of the whaler "Viola", looking towards the stern and the buildings of the dockyard where she is moored. Davits for holding whaleboats are visible on the left. A sign on one building reads "CITY", with the rest covered by part of the rigging; compared to other photographs in the set, it probably read "CITY PIER [number]".
Title from pencilled inscription in lower margin.
