Back view of a large ship with four visible gun ports at each side, a high front, and copious embellishment upon the front; the lower portion of the ship is outlined with a dashed line, but not filled in, possibly to indicate that this section will be underwater; a scale in feet is given below. By the scale, the ship is about 50 feet across at the largest point. The masts are not depicted; at the top of the ship is printed "Eselshoofd Hakke bord"; to the right of this a page number is given ("Pag 8"); below the ship is printed the title, "Admiraals Schip van Achteren, tegen Spigel gezien," which translates to "Admiral's Ship, from behind, as seen in a mirror".
Elements of interest in the ship architecture are numbered, presumably corresponding with text on a missing page.
