CC-N-0005.T.jpg

Three-quarters view of a generic Venetian galleon, with three gun ports and a rearing animal decorating the stern. Spars (three masts and a bowsprit) are depicted as broken, probably as a more decorative way of avoiding going out of the frame of the image. Simple double-line rectangular border. Printed in top margin: "Vol. II. A Venetian Galleon 1564. page 24." From a book by Charnock published 30 Mar 1802.
