"This view of the total defeat of the combined Fleets of France & Spain, with the tenders of the British Fleet saving their conquered enemies from the flames of their own vessel, (L'Achille, a French 74) is most respectfully inscribed to Vice Admiral Lord Collingwood, the Right Honourable Lord Northesk, the several captains, officers, seamen and marines of the Van Division--by their devoted servant, Robert Dodd."
